Concept

The "Nibun no Ichi" (1/2 size) plate style, created with Ginza Sony Park's own twist, invites you to explore Ginza.

Curry rice is arranged on the left side of the white plate, with a cutlet sandwich on the right.

"1/2 (Nibun no Ichi)" is a casual dining restaurant opened in the new Ginza Sony Park.

We serve plates featuring two dishes, each about a quarter of a standard portion.
Our yōshoku (uniquely Japanized Western cuisine) style menu changes with the seasons, always offering around ten different options.

Our plates might be light on volume for some.
But that's all part of Ginza Sony Park's unique twist that we've infused into our dishes. Our 1/2 (Nibun no Ichi) plates are crafted for savoring, not just eating.

Food being prepared in the dining kitchen.

Ginza is brimming with so many eateries that choosing can be overwhelming, from classic coffee shops and back-alley izakayas to trendy sweets and Michelin-starred fine dining. It's no exaggeration to say you can find just about anything to eat in Ginza.

Amidst all this, reflecting on our philosophy of being "a facility open to the city" and "a park serving as a space that brings rhythm to the city and its people," we realized that what was needed wasn't another place to stuff yourself. Instead, it needed to be somewhere you could pop in during spare moments to satisfy a little hunger - and maybe enjoy a little something extra.

And that's how our "Nibun no Ichi" (half) plate style came to be.
Creating unique value by making things smaller is our signature approach. Plus, we've chosen "yōshoku," which has deep ties to Ginza, as our culinary theme.

Lifting the served food with a spoon.

Each plate comes with a placemat featuring randomly selected stories related to the dishes.

As you read and eat—for example, with potato salad - you might discover how different types of potato and seasoning create endless variations, pick up fun potato trivia from around the world, or learn about the Meiji-era pioneers who blended Western influences with Japanese gastronomy.

Whether you're after a light snack or looking to pair your meal with a drink, our dishes are designed for you to enjoy solo or with friends.

And of course, after leaving "1/2 (Nibun no Ichi)," we hope you'll continue exploring Ginza, popping into other restaurants and cafés to sample all the flavors the city has to offer.
