Sound resonates.
The moment it does, it unveils a new and unseen vista in which the past, present, and future connect and intertwine.

Transcending time and space, we are set free to embark on a journey.
Come and enjoy endless travel.

Music comes after a long journey.
This is the spirit in which Ginza Sony Park and Vaundy will continue striving in pursuit of new landscapes.

This is because we get to meet new versions of ourselves again and again while traveling.

Program

Vaundy's program with the theme "Music Comes After a Long Journey" features a musical stratum space curated by Vaundy himself on floor B2F of Ginza Sony Park.
Vaundy selected around 200 songs for this program, under the theme, "The Ambiguous Strata of My Soul." In the musical stratum space composed of an accumulation of these songs, visitors wander through with headphones in one hand, looking for music as if excavating it. In doing so, they are able to enjoy a musical experience like traveling through musical strata that transcend the boundaries of music genres and eras.

Exhibit. Walls and pillars resembling geological strata, along with benches, are lined up.
  • Exhibit. A layered wall resembling strata, with an orange label that reads, “The molars retreat even further.”
  • Exhibit. A person wearing headphones listening to music using an audio jack installed on a wall resembling strata.
  • Exhibit. A hand-drawn illustration and signature on the corner of a wall resembling strata.
  • Exhibit. Layered walls resembling strata arranged in rows, illuminated by warm orange lighting.

Vaundy. 24 years old.
Vaundy is a multi-faceted artist who, on top of writing, composing, and arranging music, directs and produces works of film and design.
He started posting music on YouTube around spring 2019.
He then quickly became a social media sensation through his catchy melodies and his multi-genre style on tracks such as "Tokyo Flash" and "Fukakouryoku."
He is an icon in the streaming era with 16 songs that have exceeded 100 million streams, setting a record as the number one Japanese solo artist.
As of autumn 2024, the total number of streams on YouTube and subscription services has exceeded 8.3 billion. His released tracks have consistently charted for extended periods and have been widely used as tie-up songs in commercials, dramas, and anime.
Vaundy has showcased his skills through collaborations and contributions as a producer and songwriter on tracks such as "Chikyugi with Vaundy/Aimer," "Omokage" (milet × Aimer × Ikuta Lilas), and "Backlight" (Ado). He also served as the director for his first music video for Masaki Suda's "Madowu Ito."
His talents have been recognized overseas, with an offer from LAUV to participate in a global remix album, as well as the globally produced "Fukakouryoku (Global Dance Video)" being featured on the worldwide culture site Nowness, actively engaging in activities both domestically and internationally.
On December 31, 2022, he made his debut appearance at the 73rd NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, a show reserved only for the top Japanese musicians of each year.

On November 15, 2023, he released his second album "replica," a two-disc CD containing 35 tracks, marking his first release in about three and a half years since his previous work "strobo." The album features many streaming hits such as "Hanauranai," "Odoriko," "Koikaze ni nosete," "CHAINSAW BLOOD," and "Sonna Bitter na Hanashi," along with new songs, generating significant buzz in terms of chart action and packaging.
With a captivating voice that grabs attention and becomes addictive at first listen, along with an extraordinary talent reflected in a wide range of genre-defying musical sensibilities, he is rapidly expanding his fandom, particularly among teens, and is leading the music scene of the Reiwa era.
All the live shows he held sold out on the same day. His first arena performance, a two-day concert at Nippon Budokan, attracted 26,000 attendees, and the nationwide arena tour consisting of 12 performances across 6 cities, which started in the autumn of 2023, drew a total of 150,000 people.
