Ginza Sony Park is set to create a new kind of cityscape, featuring a giant aquarium.

The theme of the aquarium is "Coral Reefs and Napoleon Fish." It boasts about 1,000 creatures of 25 different types, including Napoleon fish and various other colorful creatures from the beautiful ocean of Okinawa.

We will also be holding a stamp rally, where visitors can win a trip to Okinawa! And on the weekend, a guide from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium will be providing commentary on the various creatures.

Giant Aquarium Reproducing the Beauty of Okinawa's Ocean

The aquarium, approximately 5m wide, reproduces the ecosystem of the beautiful ocean of Okinawa. About 1,000 creatures of 25 different types (from aquariums like the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium) swim around this aquarium, including the approximately 1.2m long humphead wrasse (also known as the Napoleon fish), and the approximately 1.5m long spotted moray.

Feeding Sessions

There will be two feeding sessions per day, where you’ll be able to watch creatures getting fed their daily meals.

Aquarium Commentary

A guide from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium will provide commentary on the creatures in the aquarium.

Stamp Rally - Win a Trip to Okinawa!

Go around collecting stamps at the three designated stamp checkpoints, and you will be eligible to participate in a raffle for original products from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, and even a trip to Okinawa!

The "Tangible Earth Museum 2018 - Featuring Ocean and Marine Creatures" event is on now at the Roppongi Hills Observation Deck (52F).

The event features approximately 200 creatures from the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, as well as a video, starting 19:00, that uses projection mapping to show whale sharks and humpback whales—the same video shown at the Sony Aquarium in the past.
