Use of social media

The Ginza Sony Park social media accounts, specifically Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and YouTube (hereinafter "social media accounts"), will be used to provide information about Ginza Sony Park and its events. There may also be instances in which Sony Group employees like, share, or otherwise react to posts on Ginza Sony Park's social media accounts or feeds, on their own personal feeds.

Ginza Sony Park - Social Media Terms and Conditions

Sony Enterprise Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company") has established the following terms and conditions (hereinafter "Terms and Conditions") with regards to customer use of the official social media accounts (hereinafter "the Official Accounts") established and operated by the Company.

The Official Accounts are operated for the purpose of disseminating information about the Company's products, services, etc., through the use of social networking services (hereinafter "Social Media"). As such, these Social Media pages, etc., are not the Company website, and are not under the Company's control.

1. Scope of Terms and Conditions

The Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the Official Accounts to which these Terms and Conditions refer (hereinafter "Customers").
Customers may use the Official Accounts only after reading and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. By using the Official Accounts, Customers will be deemed to have agreed to the Terms and Conditions.

2. Posts

  • The Company is under no obligation to post or store any content posted by Customers on the Official Accounts. The Company may also delete, edit, or otherwise handle the content of such posts at its discretion, without notifying the Customer that made the post.
  • The copyright and other rights to the content of the post are held by the Customer that made the post. However, the Company reserves the right to use the posted content without compensation, indefinitely, and unconditionally, and may freely reproduce, process, excerpt, edit, publish, distribute, create derivative works, or otherwise use the content for its own benefit or the benefit of a third party. The Company may also apply the posted content to its products or services; improve, develop, advertise, or promote sales for its products or services; and for promotional activities for the Sony Group companies. Customers may not, under any circumstances, exercise any copyrights, moral rights, or other rights with respect to the content of their posts, against the Company or a third party.
  • There is no guarantee that the Company will respond to or comment on any posts or inquiries made by Customers on the Official Accounts.

3. Prohibited Matters

The following acts (including posting links to URLs that include the following acts) are prohibited when using the Official Accounts.

  • Posting information that is or may be libelous or defamatory of a specific individual, company, country, or region.
  • Posting information that contains false or factually incorrect content.
  • Posting content that is obviously intended to be a prank, or information with no linguistic meaning (including blank posts, meaningless strings of characters, and repeated posts with similar content).
  • Posting while impersonating a third party.
  • Making posts that contain personal information (name, email address, address, phone number, etc.), other personally identifiable information, or matters related to the privacy of a third party.
  • Acts related to business, political, or religious activities (including advertising, promotion, solicitation, and links to other websites).
  • Acts that infringe or threaten to infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights, proprietary rights, trade secrets, privacy, or other rights and interests of the Company, Sony Group companies, or third parties.
  • Acts that cause damage or malfunction to the systems of the Company, Sony Group companies, or Social Media (including the distribution of computer viruses or other harmful programs), or infiltrating a computer using the name, address, etc., of a third party.
  • Criminal acts, or any acts that violate or may violate laws and regulations.
  • Acts that are or may be offensive to public order and morals.
  • Acts that are or may be detrimental to the Company, Sony Group companies, or any third party.
  • Acts that interfere or may interfere with the operation of the Official Accounts.
  • Acts that violate these Terms and Conditions.
  • Other acts that the Company deems to be inappropriate.

4. Information on the Official Accounts

  • Information posted on the Official Accounts is protected by the copyright laws, treaties, and other laws of each country. Customers are prohibited from using this information (including reproducing, modifying, uploading, posting, sending, distributing, licensing, selling, publishing, etc.) without obtaining the Company's prior written permission, for any purpose beyond the scope of personal use or other use expressly permitted by law.
  • "Sony," "SONY," the names of Sony products and services, and the Sony logomark, are trademarks or registered trademarks of the Sony Group companies. Other product names, service names, company names, and logomarks are trademarks, registered trademarks, or trade names of their respective companies.

5. Disclaimer

The Company's official announcements and views are disseminated through news releases, etc. Information disseminated on the Official Accounts by the Company or by Company employees may not necessarily reflect the Company's official announcements or views.
Customers or third parties are liable for any comments, etc., that they post to the Official Accounts, and the Company shall not be liable for them. The information posted is not endorsed by the Company and does not represent the views of the Company.
The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, currency, completeness, or legality of any information posted on the Official Accounts.
The Company does not guarantee the continued operation of the Official Accounts. The Company reserves the right to change or terminate the Official Accounts or the ability to post to the Official Account, at any time and without prior notice.
The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Customers as a result of their use of or inability to use the Official Accounts. However, this shall not apply to damages incurred by Customers due to the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
The Company shall not be liable for any disputes between Customers or between Customers and third parties in connection with the use of the Official Accounts, or for any damages incurred by Customers or third parties as a result of such disputes.
The Company shall not be liable for any information provided by Customers through their posts (comments, photos, videos, etc.) on the Official Accounts.
The Company shall not be liable for the loss of any information provided by Customers through their posts on the Official Accounts.

6. Access to Basic Information

When Customers follow, subscribe (become a subscriber) to, or friend the Official Accounts, or post on the Official Accounts, they are deemed to have granted the Company access to information that the Customers themselves have made public on their Social Media, such as the name, profile photo, gender, and other information they have registered on their Social Media, and that the Company may obtain such information.

7. Other

  • In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the terms and conditions of the So, the terms of the social media services shall take precedence.
  • Posts on the Official Accounts and the interpretation and application of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of the first instance over all disputes arising out of or in connection with the use of the Official Accounts.
  • The Company reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions. In such cases, a revised version of the Terms and Conditions will be posted on the website. As such, please always check the latest version of the Terms and Conditions and only use the Official Accounts after agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
