Ginza Sony Park Project

Program

We collaborated with six groups of Japanese artists to create six original MANGA titles based on the following themes drawn from Sony's Purpose & Values: "Pioneer," "Dreams," "Diversity," "Creativity," "Curiosity," and "Sincerity." Furthermore, by designing experiences that incorporate various Sony's proprietary technologies such as the "Tensor Valve™" odorant control technology, which links "scents" to the MANGA's story and "Active Slate" equipped with Haptics has been installed in the floor, which expands the MANGA's sci-fi feel. We have created a brand new experiential exhibition that stimulates your senses and immerses you in the world of MANGA.
Enjoy this uniquely Sony, one-of-a-kind exhibition which fuses technology and MANGA to deliver an experience found nowhere else.

Phase 2 coming in 2024

Ginza Sony Park opened in Ginza, Tokyo on August 9, 2018 as an ever-changing park experience in the heart of the metropolis. To make the reconstruction of the 1966 Sony Building a "uniquely Sony" process the company embraced the incredibly innovative idea of turning the space into a park for three years while the building was being demolished.

Work is now under way to construct a new Ginza Sony Park as the second phase of the Ginza Sony Park Project. It is scheduled for completion in 2024, and we have initiated a number of experimental activities for this next phase.

millennium parade is a creative collective led by Daiki Tsuneta, a producer and songwriter. The chaos and mystery of the 'night parade' underlies the group's collective vision to present a new perspective of contemporary Tokyo to the rest of the world.
Their attitude towards the arts gained the attention from other fields, which led them to collaborate with international brands such as Dior, Cartier, and most recently Adidas. Also, they provided the main theme for the famous Anime 'Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045' (2022) and the anime film 'Belle' (2021) directed by Mamoru Hosoda. Their debut album "THE MILLENNIUM PARADE" was released in 2020.
